I attended NI Days this year which was fun as usual. There are some Clips on IET.TV and here is one that I missed and subsequently caught up on. There are many more to browse through so I thought I would share.

Although I have been writing LabVIEW for over ten years now I have only recently decided to go down the Certification route. As a result, I am pleased to say that I passed my Certified LabVIEW Architect exam. Although I have been writing LabVIEW for a long time the advanced architectures course helped remind me of a few things that I dont always use.
However most importantly it means I can put this logo after my name so here it is…

A couple of us spent last week at National Instruments UK attending the Advanced architectures in LabVIEW course. Although I was aware of most of the techniques taught on this course there was as always some really good tips and tricks to take away, learn and practice. It has given me some ideas and use cases of VI scripting and also made me more open minded about LVOOP (LabVIEW Object Orientated Programming). The problem I have always had with OOP in LabVIEW is that I could never quite see the use cases. I also could never quite get the hang of object oriented programming concept, however after this course I believe it is starting to sink in. I believe this is also in a timely fashion as I see that more and more LabVIEW tool sets are becoming OOP’ed! (I believe 3D Graphs are an example).

Hi All,
Just a quick (Belated) note to say that we had a great time at NI Days. Was good to see Brian Cox deliver his keynote and some of the new technologies being offered from National Instruments. I particularly found the FlexRIO FPGA technologies interesting as I am currently working on some cRIO projects. There was a lot of information available, too much to name here and most of which is available through the link provided above.
